Location and amenities:
Sali Bay Resort is located on the small island of Sali Kecil, south of Halmahera in the North Moluccas Province. Far away from typical travel routes, it is located in a remote region that is still undeveloped for tourism. Opened in 2017, the dive resort was the first dive resort in the area. In a quiet, protected bay between green jungle and white sandy beach you can enjoy complete seclusion and peace.

There are 12 spacious beach front bungalows to choose from as well as 4 smaller rooms lined up next to each other in the Diver’s Lodge. Both categories are located directly on the beach with access to the sea. The accommodations are built from local wood and natural materials in a traditional style and are modern and lovingly furnished. The Diver's Lodge has 4 rooms, each measuring 20 m². They are equipped with either double or single beds and have air conditioning and a private bathroom. A communal terrace with seating takes you directly to the beach.

The 66 m² large Beach Front Bungalows have air conditioning, fan, bathroom with rain shower and a terrace with comfortable seating area and sun loungers. A separate anteroom with a closet, camera table and minibar separates the interior from the spacious bedroom, which also has a desk and seating. The large window front enables a wide view of the sea from the bed.

Restaurant and Spa service:
The Beach Restaurant is also located directly on the beach and offers a fantastic view of the sea and the small bay. Delicious dishes from Indonesian and international cuisine with a pampering character are served here three times a day. A lounge area with sofas also invites you to chat with each other. Special dietary requests are implemented in the best possible way.

A pool with pool bar invites you to relax between coconut palms after an exciting day of diving. In addition, a pool table provides variety. And in the resort's own Spa, traditional massages and treatments add further pampering.

Diving:
The resort's diving center is located right next to the jetty. In addition to an area for diving equipment, there is also a spacious camera room where underwater photographers can store their equipment. Diving takes place in small groups with a maximum of 6 people. There are a total of 5 boats available, which, depending on their size, are equipped with toilets and enough space for additional camera equipment. The well-trained staff also takes care of washing, storing and preparing the diving equipment.Nitrox is available.

Directly in front of the resort there is a beautiful 600 meter long house reef, which can be explored on several dives. Various species of reef sharks, turtles, large schools of fish and colorful nudibranchs live here. A five-mile marine protection zone around Pulau Sali Kecil and the neighboring islands also ensures the existence of huge biodiversity, as commercial fishing is not permitted in this area. The dive sites visited offer a lot of variety: coral dives bring with them the sighting of large schools of fish such as mackerel, fusiliers and reef sharks. During macro dives you can look forward to pipefish, ghost pipefish and the famous pygmy seahorses. Dolphins, tunas and whales are often spotted around the resort.
