Location and Facilities: Murex Resort Bangka is located at the southern tip of picturesque Bangka Island, just a few kilometers from the main island of Sulawesi. From the airport there, it takes only about 60 minutes by car and another 20 minutes by boat to reach this enchanting island in the Coral Triangle. Murex Resort Bangka offers a perfect combination of pristine nature and comfortable amenities. It stretches hidden along a palm garden that ends with a small white sandy beach and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding volcanic islands of North Sulawesi. The strategic location ensures that fresh sea breezes provide pleasant temperatures, while the spectacular sunsets become an unforgettable experience every evening. The resort is under professional European management and offers a perfect balance between tropical charm and modern comfort. Murex Resort Bangka offers three different cottage categories, positioned to perfectly capture the dreamlike island scenery with their views. Of the total three (7) Premium Oceanfront Cottages, there are 5 standalone units and 2 duplex option containing two living units, particularly suitable for families. These exclusive accommodations are located directly on the beach and offer unobstructed ocean views. The spacious, air-conditioned cottages feature large verandas with outdoor seating, luxurious en-suite bathrooms with double sinks, and are available with either double or single beds.
The six (6) elegant Premium Hillside Cottages are strategically positioned on a hill and offer refreshing sea breezes as well as breathtaking views over the lush canopy of the palm garden to the ocean. Each cottage features a large veranda with integrated daybeds, air-conditioned sleeping areas, and spacious en-suite bathrooms. The four (4) charming, traditionally designed Standard Oceanfront Cottages are located directly on the beach and offer wonderful ocean views due to their location. All cottages feature hot water showers and air conditioning for comfortable sleep and can be flexibly booked as double or single rooms. Additionally, there is 24-hour power supply thanks to the environmentally friendly solar energy system with 38 solar panels (with reduced solar supply from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM).

Restaurant: The restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere with spectacular ocean views. Located directly on the beach, it features an airy terrace and beach service for those who prefer to dine al fresco. Three hearty buffet meals daily offer not only variety but also combine a tantalizing mix of international and Asian flavors with fresh local ingredients. It is run by a Western-trained team that is happy to accommodate special dietary requirements. Additionally, the cozy bar (at additional charge) invites you to sundowner cocktails while watching the famous Bangka sunset. Coffee, tea, and drinking water are also available here around the clock (included).
Diving: Murex Resort Bangka has its own dive center, from where trips to the numerous surrounding dive and snorkel sites depart with three own dive boats. These are equipped with safety equipment, oxygen, and communication devices. Those who prefer to travel with less luggage can rent diving equipment at Murex Resort Bangka, which is professionally maintained in a separate purpose-built room. Diving is done in small groups, each accompanied by well-trained dive guides who are also comprehensively trained in marine biology and underwater photography. And for the sustainable care of photo equipment, a camera room with individual workstations, bright lighting, and air conditioning is available, where adequate maintenance can be carried out after intensive underwater operations.
Located between the Celebes & Moluccas Sea and in the middle of the Coral Triangle, Bangka Island offers one of the top diving areas, with more than 30 dive spots in the surrounding area that can be reached from the resort in no time. The marine world surrounding the resort provides spectacular underwater experiences with its fascinating, colorful biodiversity. In addition to spectacular soft corals that make every 'underwater garden' special, there are also incredibly bizarre tiny creatures that can only be marveled at. Diving takes place along breathtaking slope reefs and walls. The very special species that either live here or regularly pass by as visitors include dolphins, native dugongs or pilot whales, as well as various species of pygmy seahorses, harlequin and tiger shrimps, blue-ringed, mimic, reef and wonderpus octopuses, ghost pipefish, Ambon scorpionfish, turtles, reef sharks, tuna, eagle rays, anglerfish, large barracudas, as well as cardinals, mackerels, fusiliers, and snappers.

With three different itineraries—eight (8), ten (10), twelve (12), or fifteen (15) days—you can experience and get to know two or three of these quite distinct resorts and dive sites.
- The transfer time from Manado Airport to Murex Resort Bangka is approximately 80 minutes and includes both car and boat transportation.
- The regular transfer schedule is between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. A surcharge applies for transfers outside these hours.
- The following diving packages include 2 dives per day as standard; however, this does not apply on the arrival and departure days.
